On pause · New dates coming

Come talk with us.

A quick update

We're pressing pause.

Our Bend gathering is postponed — new dates to come. And yes, we noticed: a menopause gathering, on pause. We'd call it irony, but honestly it's the most on-brand thing we've ever done.

Think of it as a hot flash: it arrived without asking, it's temporary, and we'll come out the other side fanning ourselves and laughing. The room, the experts, and the conversation are all still coming — we're just giving the calendar a moment to breathe. (The calendar is at that age.)

We're aiming for spring, in a city to be named — and the list hears everything first.

Already bought a ticket? You'll hear from us personally, with a full refund and our genuine thanks for being first through the door.

Be first to know the new dates

Our first in-person Sofrena gathering. One room, real experts, honest conversation, and women asking the very questions you've been carrying around. It's time to pull up chairs.

What this is

A conversation, not a conference.

You've been to the other kind. The badge lanyard. The keynote. The sage on the stage clicking through slides while you check the time. This is not that.

A Sofrena gathering is built the way understanding actually happens — in a room, out loud, with people who know this stage of life and people who are living it. The experts come to answer, not to perform. The agenda is partly yours, because the best question in the room is usually the one somebody almost didn't ask.

What to expect

Four days for you to explore

Experts in the room

Clinicians and specialists who treat perimenopause and menopause as medicine, not weather. Bring the questions that never fit inside a twelve-minute appointment. That's what these days are for.

Conversations that go somewhere

Real talk on the things that matter — sleep, hormones, mood, bones, brain fog, and the rest of it — with time built in to ask the question behind the question.

Women on the same road

There is a particular relief in saying something out loud and watching three other women nod. We're building four whole days of that.

No product funnel. Ever.

Nobody is selling you a supplement. Nobody is funneling you anywhere. Education first — it's the entire point of Sofrena, and it doesn't take the day off.

The shape of the days

What the days will hold — when we un-pause

Day One

Evening reception

Arrive, exhale, find your people. A welcome evening with light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments, introductions, and the first of many conversations — no agenda yet, just the room warming up.

Day Two

Morning & afternoon sessions

A full day with the experts — starting with the biology of what's actually happening to you, and building from there. Questions welcome. Questions expected, actually.

Day Three

Morning & afternoon sessions

Deeper into the things that matter — hormones, sleep, mood, bones, and the options nobody walked you through. With time built in for the question behind the question.

Day Four

Morning sessions

One last morning to pull it all together — and to leave with answers, a plan, and a room full of women who now know exactly what you mean.

In the room with you

Guest speakers — announced with the new dates & city

Our guest experts are observing the pause — it's practically doctor's orders. When we un-pause, we'll introduce the clinicians joining us in the room: the kind who treat menopause as medicine, not weather, and who answer the question behind the question. Names and credentials arrive with the dates — and the list, as always, hears everything first. (We've met them. They're worth the suspense.)

Keeping the conversation moving

Your facilitators, Janine & Sheila

Janine Brown

Janine Brown

Facilitator · Co-Founder, Sofrena

Janine has understood American healthcare as the engineer who builds it, the attorney who advocates for it, and the executive who runs it — there are not many people who can say all three. She's also a private pilot and a scuba diver, which makes her comfortable at quite literally any altitude. She'll be keeping the conversation on course all weekend.

Sheila Sullivan

Sheila Sullivan

Facilitator · Co-Founder, Sofrena

Sheila is an attorney and litigator who has spent her career asking questions — but her real gift is helping people find the deeper ones, the questions they feel but don't quite know how to voice. At the gathering she'll be drawing on an earlier chapter of her training, theatre sports and stand-up comedy, to create a space where conversation and curiosity can expand — one that welcomes everyone and protects the organic conversations a gathering this good inevitably brings.

The practical part

Yes, there's a ticket.

Because the things we invest in are the things we actually show up for — and because keeping the room the right size is what keeps a conversation a conversation. Seats for this first gathering are genuinely limited.

Stop guessing · Start knowing

When you're in the room, you are part of the conversation.

Join the list and you'll hear the new dates the moment we un-pause — before anyone else, along with first crack at seats.

No spam, ever. No products pushed at you. Just the good stuff — and your seat at the table.
